Community Crafts


The practical skills gained on this course can help reduce anxiety, improve confidence, communication, social skills, and contribute towards a sense of wellbeing and greater independence at home.

Resources will be provided, but if you wish to bring your own that is also fine.

We will host an opportunity for you to sell your crafts throughout the year and the money raised will go to a local charity.

This course will give you all the skills and confidence to create a range of community art and crafts projects. You will work as a group to create community art projects.

You will develop skills in:

  • Crafting skills.
  • Using art materials equipment
  • Communication skills (speaking and listening)
  • Working as a community group

Learners wishing to enrol on this course should be able to work independently and have good communication and listening skills. If you are unable to work independently you will need to come with someone to support you.

Learners can only choose a maximum of 1 course to attend per term.


Activities and work will be assessed by your tutor.
