Digital Outreach Project
Description
The Digital Outreach Project is a starting point for anyone looking to build digital confidence, develop day-to-day digital literacy skills and can serve as preparation for a level 1 or level 2 qualification in information technology or digital skills. Sessions are suitable for beginners and anyone with basic experience of using a digital device (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone) at home or at work.
No prior qualifications or knowledge are required as courses are pre-entry/entry level and there are no exams or assessments as courses are non-accredited. Sessions are tailored to your requirements and delivered in a friendly and supportive environment.
These courses are non-accredited so there are no formal assessments or exams, and no entry criteria are required – beginners are more than welcome! To be eligible for the Digital Outreach Project you must be 19 years of age (as at 1st September 2022). Your employment status/economic circumstances are not considered as eligibility is not means tested.
You can take notes during sessions, and you’re encouraged to bring your devices to sessions so that the tuition addresses your individual device and setup.
