For more information or to enrol please speak to you Work Coach who can arrange an appointment at your local Job Centre with an Adult Learning Service Advisor.

 

Your journey to find work will need preparation to be successful.

This course has a relaxed atmosphere and will improve your self-confidence when looking for work. It will help you:

  • Assess own Skills and Attributes
  • Identify possible points of contact with employer (Letters / telephone / Interview)
  • Create CV and upload to employment agency(s)
  • Find courses to help you progress in your chosen employment
  • Identify your strengths, weaknesses, and personal goals
  • Action plan for your future.

You will be asked to bring the following information with you:

Your log in details for your email and any job sites or agencies you are registered to.

Some reading, writing is necessary to explore the subject fully. It is very important that you declare at enrolment if you suffer from any learning difficulty or disability so that relevant support may be provided by tutors.

Please bring along any relevant information requested which will help your session e.g., access to you CV online, access to job advertisement/job description, etc. This must include your username and passwords to any job sites emails etc.

Course Length
3 hours

Attendance
You are expected to arrive promptly and attend the full 3 hours of your course.

You can progress onto another employability course which will develop your confidence in an interview, or you may like to study on an English, Maths or ICT course that focuses on work-related skills and leads to a Functional Skills qualification.

Your tutor will work with you throughout this course to give you guidance on a course of action suitable for your progression route towards employment.
