Behaviour that Challenges
Description
This qualification aims to develop learners’ understanding of behaviour that challenges and how you can support individuals to take avoidance action.
Please note that whilst the course is free, there is a £50 withdrawal/non completion fee if you choose to withdraw from the course.
This qualification is designed to increase learners’ awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop in-depth knowledge that could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care sector or education settings.
There are four mandatory units:
- Unit 1 – Understand behaviour that challenges
- Unit 2 – Understand how to support positive behaviour
- Unit 3 – Understand the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges
- Unit 4 – Understand the role of reflection and support for those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges
Awarding Body: NCFE
This is an online course. You will receive your own study pack, alongside a specialist tutor who will guide you through your studies. Your study pack includes a set of high-quality knowledge workbooks that are designed to help you learn independently through a range of reflective activities. You will also receive an online assessment account (e-assessor) where you will document your evidence.
Course Length
12 weeks (although you can complete more quickly if you wish)
Attendance
This course is part of our online learning offer, and you will primarily study at home. Regular drop-in workshops are available, facilitated by a specialist tutor. We encourage attendance at the drop-in sessions for support, reassurance and knowledge building.
You will receive submission dates for all units.
If you require additional support, regular tutorials can be arranged.
