Safeguarding and Prevent
Description
The purpose of this qualification is to increase the learner’s knowledge and awareness of the Prevent Duty, safeguarding and online safety.
Please note that whilst the course is free, there is a £50 withdrawal/non completion fee if you choose to withdraw from the course.
By completing this qualification, learners will develop knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where they have a duty of care. This qualification is particularly useful for those working in education or the care sector.
You will study 3 units:
- Unit 01: Understanding the Prevent Duty
- Unit 02: Understanding Safeguarding
- Unit 03: Understanding Online Safety
Awarding Body: NCFE
This is an online course. You will receive your own study pack, alongside a specialist tutor who will guide you through your studies. Your study pack includes a set of high-quality knowledge workbooks that are designed to help you learn independently through a range of reflective activities. You will also receive an online assessment account (e-assessor) where you will document your evidence.
Course Length
8 Weeks (although you can complete more quickly if you wish)
Attendance
This course is part of our online learning offer, and you will primarily study at home. Regular drop-in workshops are available, facilitated by a specialist tutor. We encourage attendance at the drop-in sessions for support, reassurance and knowledge building.
You will receive submission dates for all units.
If you require additional support, regular tutorials can be arranged.
