Level 3 Cyber Security Practices
Description
Level 3 Certificate in Cyber Security is available as a progression opportunity. This course is available on our distance learning offer. This is completed online, so learners need access to a computer, laptop or tablet.
The course is open to learners 19+.
The aim of the Level 3 Certificate in Cyber Security Practices is to provide learners with sector awareness. It will provide the learner with a chance to develop knowledge and skills relating to cyber security practices, with the view to seeking employment or proceeding to further study in this area.
Awarding body: NCFE
Assessment is knowledge-based only, and you will complete online learning and answer a series of questions for each unit of the qualification.
To achieve this qualification, you will need to complete 6 mandatory units:
- Unit 1: Understand Cyber Security Principles
- Unit 2: Threat Intelligence in Cyber Security
- Unit 3: Cyber Security Testing, Vulnerabilities & Controls
- Unit 4: Cyber Security Incident Response
- Unit 5: Understand Legislation & Ethical Conduct Within Cyber Security
- Unit 6: Professional Skills & Behaviours for Cyber Security
This is an online learning course. You will receive access to an online portfolio (e-assessor) where you will find learning materials, assessment tasks and tutor feedback. You will also be allocated a specialist tutor who will guide you through your studies and provide regular feedback.
Course Length:
19 weeks (although you can complete more quickly if you wish)
Attendance:
This course is part of our online learning offer, and you will primarily study at home. Regular drop-in workshops are available, facilitated by a specialist tutor. We encourage attendance at the drop-in sessions for support, reassurance and knowledge building.
You will receive submission dates for all units.
If you require additional support, regular tutorials can be arranged.
Achievement of this qualification will help support progression into a variety of job roles and occupational areas within the digital sector.
