Maths (Entry 1/Entry 2)
Description
This course allows you to brush up on your skills in Maths. You must attend for an assessment before you start the course. These courses are free.
You will be invited along to an initial assessment to find out what you need to work on and agree your learning aims.
For example, you may need to:
• Read and write numbers
• Add and subtract
• Recognise selected coins and notes
• Work with basic measurement and shape.
Awarding Body: City and Guilds
The aim of this course is to improve your basic Maths skills. They are assessed using assignment tasks.
Course Length
You may need just a few weeks of practice or up to 72 hours of tuition – it’s all free.
You can begin at any point in the year, and you will work towards the following qualifications:
Maths Entry Level 1 or 2 – laying the groundwork and brushing up on the basics.
You could move up to the next Level in Maths or onto an English course.
