Sewing and Quilting

Description

Learners wishing to enrol on this course should be able to work independently and have good communication and listening skills. If you are unable to work independently you will need to come with someone to support you. If you are a creative person and enjoy sewing by hand and machine and have a basic understanding of simple sewing techniques, then this course is for you.

At Adult Learning Services we have access to a sewing room with all the resources available to enable you to create and design your own sewing projects for you and your home.

You will:

• Explore basic sewing skills
• Create and design sewing projects
• Develop a range of hand sewing and sewing machine techniques
• Practice the skills you have learned

Activities and work will be assessed by your tutor and you will receive feedback on your progress.
