Stroke Awareness Session

Description

These workshops are community funded so open to residents of North Tyneside age 19+.

They are appropriate for those who wish to know a little more about this condition and the signs and symptoms as well as ways to manage it.

This informal session will focus on:

  • Stroke Awareness / Causes / Risk factors
  • Signs and symptoms of a stroke
  • Key stages of a stroke
  • Difference between a stroke and TIA
  • Impact of a stroke and support services
  • Useful agencies and resources

Assessment

There is no formal assessment for this awareness session.

Course length

2 hour workshop.
